CIP (cleaning in place) cleaning system is commonly known as in-situ cleaning system. It is widely used in beverage, dairy, juice, pulp, jam, wine and other mechanized food and beverage production enterprises.
CIP is mainly composed of alkali tank, acid tank, hot water tank, various pipes and pneumatic valves, pressure transmitter, conductivity meter, platinum thermal resistance and control system. Without disassembling or moving the device, the centrifugal pump can be used to transport the cleaning liquid, and forced circulation in the material pipelines and equipment to achieve the purpose of cleaning.
The advantages of the CIP cleaning system: ensure a certain cleaning effect and improve product safety; save operating time and improve efficiency; save labor and ensure safe operation; save water, steam and other energy, reduce the amount of detergent; production equipment can achieve large-scale, High level of automation; prolong the service life of production equipment.
The mechanism of CIP cleaning is mainly completed by adding chemical reagents, so the detection of the flow, temperature, pressure, water quality and other parameters of the entire CIP cleaning system directly determines the final cleaning effect.
CIP Cleaning Process
1. Raw water supply flow measurement
In the CIP cleaning system, the water after the pipeline cleaning is mixed with various substances, and the water quality is poor. At this time, an electromagnetic flowmeter is needed to measure the flow.
Electromagnetic flow meter
› More suitable for raw water measurement
› Diameter: DN15~DN600
› High-precision measurement: ±0.5%
› Forward and reverse flow measurement
› Multiple output communication: 4-20mA, pulse output, RS485
› Multiple power supply modes: 220VAC / 24VDC
2. Circulating water flow measurement
In the CIP cleaning system, water is constantly consumed, and water is replenished from time to time. In order to measure the amount of replenished water, a flowmeter that does not damage the pipeline and can meet the measurement of large diameter flow is required.

3. Steam flow measurement
The heat exchange system heats the medium in the cleaning pipeline, so the measurement of steam flow becomes very important.

4. Temperature measurements
Temperature is one of the most common measurement parameters in CIP cleaning. GAIMC provides a full range of temperature sensors such as thermal resistors, thermocouples, temperature transmitters and accessories to meet all temperature measurement requirements of the CIP cleaning process.
1. Rtd/Thermocouple
Can be used in power plant temperature measurement, according to the actual application of selection.
2. Head mounted temperature transmitter
Measuring the temperature through a temperature sensor, the transmitter processes the signal into a standard industrial signal and transmits it to the back-end device.
3. Wireless temperature transmitter
No wiring in the field, saving installation costs, directly transfer the measured temperature to the back-end equipment by wireless means.
5. Water quality measurement
The water quality monitoring during the CIP cleaning process can minimize pipeline corrosion and ensure the final cleaning effect.
