Description
Pt1000 Bayonet RTD Sensor (Model AJES-B-1 / APES-5×40) is designed for accurate temperature measurement in plastic extrusion, injection molding, hot runner systems, and other industrial heating applications. Unlike standard PT100 bayonet sensors, this model uses a Pt1000 sensing element, making it suitable for applications where existing control systems are standardized on Pt1000 inputs or where improved resistance to lead-wire effects is desired in 2-wire installations.
The sensor features an adjustable rotating bayonet mounting, allowing easy installation and flexible cable orientation after locking. A 100 mm spring maintains consistent contact pressure in deep or variable-depth mounting recesses, while the 14 mm OD double-cut adapter ensures secure mechanical engagement.
Constructed with a durable sensing assembly and TF/TF/SS insulated cable, the sensor operates from -50°C to +250°C and is well suited for demanding industrial environments. Aavad also offers customized probe lengths, spring lengths, cable types, and mounting configurations to meet OEM and replacement requirements.

FAQs
1. What is a Pt1000 Bayonet RTD Sensor?
A Pt1000 Bayonet RTD Sensor is a Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) with a bayonet mounting system that uses a Pt1000 sensing element for precise and reliable industrial temperature measurement. It is commonly used in plastic extrusion machines, injection molding equipment, hot runner systems, and other process heating applications where quick installation and accurate temperature control are required.
2. What is the difference between a Pt1000 and a PT100 Sensor?
A Pt1000 RTD has a nominal resistance of 1000 Ω at 0°C, whereas a PT100 RTD has a nominal resistance of 100 Ω at 0°C. Pt1000 sensors are commonly selected for systems specifically designed for Pt1000 inputs and can reduce the influence of lead wire resistance in certain wiring configurations, particularly in 2-wire installations.
3. Why use a Rotating Bayonet RTD Sensor?
A rotating bayonet RTD sensor allows the cable to be positioned in the desired direction after the bayonet is securely locked into place. This design simplifies installation, reduces cable twisting and mechanical stress, and provides flexible cable routing on plastic processing machinery, extrusion equipment, injection molding machines, and other industrial heating systems.
