A wire-type RTD or thermocouple sensor is a flexible temperature measurement assembly featuring transition fittings and extension lead wires directly attached to the sensor sheath. Manufactured by Aavad Instrument, wire-type RTDs use resistance change (R₀ = 100 Ω) for precise temperature measurement up to +600°C, while wire-type thermocouples generate thermoelectric voltage through the Seebeck Effect (ΔV ∝ ΔT) to measure temperatures up to +1200°C.
