Description
The Mineral Insulated K-Type Thermocouple (QRT) is engineered for high-temperature industrial temperature measurement where fast response, long service life, and mechanical durability are essential. Manufactured with Chromel-Alumel (K-Type) thermoelements enclosed inside a 6 mm SS310 metal sheath, the sensor uses high-density compacted magnesium oxide (MgO) insulation to provide excellent electrical insulation, efficient heat transfer, and superior resistance to vibration, oxidation, and mechanical stress. This mineral insulated (MI) construction delivers faster thermal response and greater durability than conventional bare-wire thermocouples, making it suitable for demanding industrial processes operating at temperatures up to 1200°C.
The sensor features an adjustable 1/2″ BSP male process connection, allowing the immersion depth to be set during installation without requiring a custom probe length. The 650 mm probe length makes this model ideal for shorter immersion applications in furnaces, kilns, reactors, ovens, and process equipment where accurate sensing at elevated temperatures is required.
