Description
A Brass Thermowell is a protective fitting used to install RTDs, Pt100 sensors, thermocouples, and other industrial temperature sensors without exposing the sensing element directly to the process fluid. By isolating the sensor from the process, a thermowell protects it from mechanical damage while allowing removal, calibration, or replacement without disturbing the process connection.
The Aavad Instrument Brass Thermowell (Model BTW-15×7-50) is manufactured from high-quality brass and is designed for clean water, HVAC, boilers, chillers, plumbing systems, compressors, and general utility applications. Brass offers good machinability, thermal conductivity, and corrosion resistance in many non-aggressive water-based environments, making it a practical choice for moderate-temperature, low-pressure service.
This model features a 15 mm outside diameter, 7 mm internal bore, 50 mm U-length, and a 1/2″ NPT(M) threaded process connection, enabling secure installation in tanks, pipelines, heat exchangers, pumps, and HVAC equipment. The compact design is particularly suitable where installation space is limited or short insertion lengths are required.
The thermowell is compatible with RTDs, Pt100 sensors, Pt1000 sensors, thermocouples, and bimetal thermometers, providing reliable temperature measurement in utility and building services. Because the thermowell remains installed in the process, sensors can be removed for maintenance or calibration without draining the system.
