Description
The Diaphragm Sealed Pressure Gauge from Aavad Instrument Pvt. Ltd. is a precision instrument designed for measuring pressure of viscous, slurry, corrosive, crystallizing, or media that can clog standard Bourdon tube gauges. The flexible diaphragm — available in SS 316L, Hastelloy C, PTFE-lined, or Inconel — separates the process media from the internal gauge mechanism, protecting it from direct contact with aggressive or contaminating fluids.
Diaphragm Seals, also known as Chemical Seals or Gauge Isolators, are used to isolate pressure instrumentation, like pressure gauges, pressure transmitters, pressure switches, level transmitters, and more from process media that is hot, corrosive, clogging, or otherwise damaging to the pressure instrument.

FAQs
1. What is a Diaphragm Sealed Pressure Gauge?
A Diaphragm Sealed Pressure Gauge is a mechanical pressure measuring instrument that uses a flexible diaphragm seal to isolate the gauge mechanism from corrosive, viscous, abrasive, crystallizing, or hygienic process media. The diaphragm transmits the process pressure through a fill fluid to the gauge, providing accurate pressure measurement while protecting the internal sensing mechanism.
2. Why is a Diaphragm Seal used?
A diaphragm seal protects the pressure gauge from clogging, corrosion, contamination, crystallization, high-viscosity fluids, and aggressive chemicals. This significantly improves measurement reliability, service life, and maintenance intervals, making diaphragm sealed gauges ideal for demanding industrial process applications.
3. What Diaphragm Materials are available?
Aavad Instrument Pvt. Ltd. manufactures Diaphragm Sealed Pressure Gauges with diaphragm materials including SS316L Stainless Steel, PTFE-lined Stainless Steel, Hastelloy C, and Inconel. Material selection depends on the process media, operating temperature, pressure, corrosion resistance requirements, and specific industrial application.
