Description
RTD Washer Type Temperature Sensor (Model APES-7×13) is a PT100 surface-mount RTD sensor designed for accurate temperature measurement on industrial equipment where a conventional insertion sensor is not practical. The sensor uses a washer-style mounting assembly that fits beneath an existing bolt head, allowing reliable temperature monitoring without drilling additional mounting holes.
Available in M6, M8, and M12 washer sizes, this RTD sensor can be installed on a wide variety of machinery, HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, pipelines, tanks, motors, compressors, and industrial process equipment that already incorporates bolted mounting points. The multiple washer size options simplify retrofitting and replacement while reducing installation time.
The PT100 simplex 3-wire sensing element provides accurate and repeatable temperature measurement for industrial process control. The 3-wire configuration helps minimize measurement errors caused by lead wire resistance, making it suitable for PLCs, DCS systems, RTD transmitters, SCADA systems, and industrial temperature controllers.
The sensing assembly is manufactured from SS316 stainless steel, providing excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical durability. The TF/TF/SS (Teflon insulated with Stainless Steel braided) cable offers protection against heat, chemicals, oils, abrasion, and harsh industrial operating conditions.

FAQs
1. What is an RTD Washer Type Temperature Sensor?
An RTD Washer Type Temperature Sensor is a PT100 Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) designed to measure surface temperature by mounting beneath a bolt or screw head. This design eliminates the need for a dedicated threaded or drilled sensor port while providing accurate and reliable temperature measurement.
2. Why use a Washer-Type RTD instead of an Insertion RTD?
A washer-type RTD is ideal when the temperature of a machine surface, motor housing, pipe flange, heat exchanger, or bolted component needs to be monitored without modifying the equipment. It offers simple installation, secure mounting, and accurate surface temperature measurement.
3. What Washer Sizes are available?
This RTD Washer Type Temperature Sensor is available in standard M6, M8, and M12 washer sizes, providing compatibility with a wide range of industrial machinery, electrical equipment, compressors, pumps, and OEM applications.
4. Where are RTD Washer Type Temperature Sensors commonly used?
RTD Washer Type Temperature Sensors are widely used in HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, industrial machinery, pipelines, compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, electric motors, generators, transformers, and OEM equipment where accurate surface temperature monitoring is required.
