Description
3-Wire PT100 RTD Sensor (Model APES-6×75) is designed for reliable industrial temperature measurement where improved accuracy over long cable runs is required. The 3-wire configuration compensates for lead-wire resistance, helping reduce measurement errors compared with conventional 2-wire RTD circuits.
This sensor features a Simplex PT100 sensing element with Class B accuracy and a temperature range of -50°C to +400°C. A fixed 1/2″ BSP male process connection provides secure installation in tanks, pipelines, reactors, motors, generators, and industrial machinery. The SS316 stainless steel sheath offers corrosion resistance and mechanical durability, while the TF/TF insulated cable ensures dependable performance in demanding industrial environments.
The sensor is suitable for connection to PLCs, DCS systems, RTD transmitters, and temperature controllers that accept PT100 3-wire inputs. Aavad also offers customized probe lengths, cable lengths, sheath diameters, and process connections to meet OEM and replacement requirements.

FAQs
1. What is a 3-Wire PT100 RTD Sensor?
A 3-Wire PT100 RTD Sensor is a PT100 Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) that uses three conductors to compensate for lead-wire resistance. This wiring configuration improves temperature measurement accuracy compared with a 2-wire RTD and is widely used in industrial process control, automation, and monitoring applications.
2. Why use a 3-Wire RTD instead of a 2-Wire RTD?
A 3-wire RTD minimizes measurement errors caused by lead-wire resistance, making it ideal for longer cable runs and applications requiring greater accuracy. It provides a practical balance between performance and cost, making it one of the most commonly used RTD configurations in industrial temperature measurement systems.
3. Why choose Aavad 3-Wire PT100 RTD Sensors?
