Description
Flameproof Temperature Indicator is a hazardous-area field instrument designed to provide accurate local temperature indication in environments where flammable gases, vapours, or combustible dust may be present. Housed in a CMRI-certified flameproof enclosure, the indicator enables reliable temperature monitoring directly at the process location without requiring operators to access a remote control panel. It is ideal for applications where clear local temperature indication is required while complying with the equipment’s hazardous-area certification and installation requirements.
The AFI-098 Flameproof Temperature Indicator is factory configured for 3-wire Pt100 RTD input and features a practical dual jumper-selectable measurement range. Users can select a high-resolution range of -199.9°C to 199.9°C for applications requiring finer temperature resolution or a wide industrial range of -200°C to 600°C for general process monitoring. This flexibility allows one instrument model to serve multiple applications while simplifying inventory management. The indicator delivers ±0.25% full-scale accuracy (±1 count) and provides zero and span adjustment through internal calibration controls during commissioning.
