Description
The Jumbo Display Indicator is a large-format industrial display designed to provide clear, long-distance visibility of critical process values in manufacturing plants, control rooms, production lines, warehouses, and utility facilities. Unlike conventional panel indicators that are intended for close-range viewing, the PI-JD-4 Jumbo Display Indicator features large 4-inch high-intensity red LED digits, allowing operators to read process values from several metres away. This improves operational awareness, enhances safety, and reduces the need for personnel to approach control panels for routine monitoring.
The PI-JD-4 supports universal temperature inputs, including thermocouples (J, K, R, S) and Pt100 RTD sensors, which can be selected through the front-panel keypad. It also accepts common industrial analog inputs such as 0–20 mA, 4–20 mA, 0–1 V, 0–3.3 V, 0–5 V, and 0–10 V DC, making it suitable for displaying temperature, pressure, flow, level, humidity, speed, and other process variables from transmitters and sensors. The instrument offers a display range from -1999 to 9999, 0.3% full-scale accuracy, a 250 ms sampling rate, and a 90–270 V AC/DC universal power supply, ensuring dependable performance across a wide variety of industrial applications.

FAQs
1. What is a Jumbo Display Indicator?
A Jumbo Display Indicator is an industrial process indicator featuring large LED digits designed to display process values clearly over long viewing distances. It is ideal for factories, production areas, control rooms, warehouses, and industrial facilities where process values must be visible from across the workplace.
2. Why use a Jumbo Display instead of a Standard Panel Indicator?
The 4-inch high-brightness LED display can be viewed from a much greater distance than conventional panel indicators, allowing operators to monitor process values without approaching the control panel. This improves visibility, operational efficiency, and process monitoring in large industrial environments.
3. Which sensor inputs are supported?
The Jumbo Display Indicator supports a wide range of industrial inputs, including thermocouples (J, K, R, and S), Pt100 RTD sensors, and analog signals such as 4–20 mA, 0–20 mA, and multiple DC voltage ranges, making it suitable for various industrial measurement and automation applications.
4. Where is a Jumbo Display Indicator commonly used?
Jumbo Display Indicators are widely used in manufacturing plants, chemical industries, power stations, water treatment facilities, food processing, pharmaceutical production, warehouses, process industries, and industrial automation systems, where clear long-distance display of critical process values is essential.
