Description
The Aavad L-Type Bayonet Thermocouple (Model AKES-6×45) is a K-Type spring-loaded temperature sensor designed for fast installation and reliable temperature measurement in plastic processing and industrial heating equipment. Featuring a 1-pin locking L-type bayonet cap with a 14.10 mm outside diameter and a 1/4″ BSP threaded adapter, it provides secure mounting while allowing quick sensor replacement during routine maintenance.
The spring-loaded bayonet mechanism maintains continuous pressure between the sensing tip and the bottom of the mounting hole, helping improve thermal contact even under vibration and thermal expansion. Unlike conventional threaded sensors that require complete removal and reinstallation, the bayonet locking system enables technicians to replace the thermocouple quickly, reducing machine downtime.
This thermocouple uses a simplex K-Type sensing element capable of measuring temperatures from 0°C to 600°C. The 6 mm SS316 stainless steel sheath provides corrosion resistance and mechanical durability, while the 45 mm sensing tip is suitable for equipment requiring a medium insertion depth. The FG/FG/SS (fiberglass insulated with stainless steel braided) cable offers excellent protection against heat, abrasion, and vibration commonly encountered in plastic processing environments.
The L-Type Bayonet Thermocouple is widely used in plastic injection molding machines, extrusion lines, hot runner systems, nozzle heating applications, die casting equipment, packaging machinery, rubber processing plants, and other industrial heating systems where fast sensor replacement and consistent temperature measurement are essential.
