Description
A Thermowell is a pressure-tight protective fitting designed to house RTDs, Pt100 sensors, Pt1000 sensors, thermocouples, and other industrial temperature sensors, preventing direct contact with process fluids while ensuring accurate temperature measurement. By isolating the sensing element from pressure, flow, corrosion, and mechanical wear, a thermowell extends sensor life and allows maintenance without interrupting plant operations.
The Aavad Instrument Thermowell (Model TW-15×7-100) is manufactured from SS316 stainless steel and features a 1/2″ NPT(M) process connection, 1/2″ NPT(F) instrument connection, 15 mm outside diameter, 7 mm bore, and 100 mm U-length. Its precision-machined closed-end construction provides reliable protection for temperature sensors in industrial process environments while maintaining excellent heat transfer characteristics.
This thermowell is compatible with RTDs, Pt100 sensors, Pt1000 sensors, thermocouples, and other industrial temperature instruments, making it suitable for continuous temperature monitoring across pipelines, tanks, reactors, vessels, heat exchangers, boilers, and processing equipment. Because the thermowell remains permanently installed, sensors can be removed for calibration or replacement without draining the system or exposing personnel to the process medium, reducing downtime and improving plant safety.
SS316 stainless steel offers excellent corrosion resistance, mechanical strength, and long service life in a wide range of industrial environments.
