Description
Tri-Clamp RTD Sensor (Model APSS-6) is a compact PT100 hygienic temperature sensor developed for sanitary process applications where installation space is limited and all-stainless construction is preferred. Featuring a Simplex PT100 Class B sensing element, a miniature stainless steel terminal head, a hygienic Tri-Clamp (Tri-Clover) process connection, and a 100 mm insertion length below the fitting, this RTD sensor provides dependable temperature measurement across an operating range of -50°C to +400°C. Compared with conventional sanitary RTD assemblies that use larger aluminium terminal heads, the compact stainless steel housing reduces the overall installation footprint while maintaining convenient access for wiring and maintenance.
Designed for hygienic processing environments, the APSS-6 combines smooth stainless steel construction with a compact head profile suitable for equipment where surrounding clearance is restricted. The all-stainless terminal head also makes this sensor an attractive option for facilities that prefer stainless steel instrumentation throughout hygienic production areas. Manufactured by Aavad Instrument, this Tri-Clamp PT100 RTD sensor integrates with compatible temperature transmitters, PLCs, DCS, SCADA systems, controllers, and industrial automation platforms, making it ideal for food processing, dairy production, beverage manufacturing, pharmaceutical facilities, biotechnology plants, and hygienic OEM equipment.
