| Glass fibre braided RTD 6 Core Cable is suitable for connecting to our range of Platinum Resistance Thermometer assemblies. Some are quite small and are ideal for extending out of an assembly pot seal but can be unwieldy for longer runs. | Others are more robust, offer greater mechanical strength and are more suited for extending out of an assembly connection head or for use in connecting to junction boxes. |
| Whilst some of these cables are suited for longer cable runs, our range of single and multipair instrumentation cable may be more suitable for such applications. | Fibreglass Insulated with St./St. Braid |

Description
The 6 Core RTD Cable (Resistance Thermometer Cable) is designed for accurate temperature signal transmission from Pt100 and Pt1000 RTD sensors to temperature controllers, PLCs, DCS systems, transmitters, data loggers, and industrial automation equipment. Its 6-core construction supports dual RTD sensors, duplex RTDs, and 3-wire or 4-wire RTD configurations, making it an ideal choice for applications requiring redundant temperature measurement, improved lead resistance compensation, and high-accuracy process monitoring. The additional cores simplify installation by allowing multiple RTD circuits to be routed through a single cable while reducing wiring complexity in industrial systems.
Manufactured with 7/0.2 mm stranded silver-plated copper conductors, the cable provides excellent electrical conductivity while offering superior oxidation resistance compared with standard bare copper conductors, particularly in elevated-temperature environments. The glass fibre insulation combined with an overall stainless steel braid delivers outstanding resistance to heat, abrasion, vibration, and mechanical stress. Rated for continuous operation up to 480°C and short-term exposure up to 540°C, the cable is suitable for applications where conventional PVC or PTFE insulated RTD cables cannot withstand the surrounding ambient conditions. Colour-coded cores also simplify identification and reduce wiring errors during installation and maintenance.
