Description
Aavad Instrument Pvt. Ltd.’s Flange Type Pressure Gauge is a fully welded, all-SS diaphragm-sealed pressure gauge engineered for direct flange-mounted installation on tanks, vessels, reactors, and pipelines handling viscous, corrosive, or solids-laden media. The 2″ 150# RF (raised face) flange connection allows the gauge to be bolted directly onto the process nozzle, eliminating impulse piping and reducing potential leak points — a critical advantage for hazardous or hygiene-sensitive processes.
The PTFE-coated SS 304 top chamber and PTFE-lined SS 316 bottom chamber isolate the SS 316L diaphragm sensing element from the SS 316 Bourdon tube via an internal fill fluid system, ensuring the process medium never contacts the measuring mechanism. This diaphragm seal flange-type design is purpose-built for slurries, sludges, crystallizing fluids, and corrosive chemicals that would otherwise damage or block conventional Bourdon tube gauges. A micro-zero pointer enables precise field calibration, while the shatterproof glass window and SS 304 bayonet case provide rugged protection in industrial environments rated for -40°C to +200°C process temperatures.
Key Features
- Bolts directly onto the vessel nozzle — eliminating impulse piping removes a major source of leaks and blockages that plague conventional remote-mounted gauges on slurry or corrosive service
- PTFE-coated and PTFE-lined chambers handle aggressive chemicals that would corrode an unprotected stainless surface, extending service life on acid, alkali, and solvent duty without needing exotic alloys
- Diaphragm isolation means crystallizing or solids-laden media never reaches the Bourdon tube — no clogging, no blocked sensing element, even on slurries that would defeat a standard gauge within hours
- Micro-zero pointer allows precise field recalibration without removing the gauge from the flange, saving time during routine maintenance or after a process upset
- Rated -40°C to +200°C process temperature covers everything from cold chemical storage to hot reactor service in a single product line
- Manufactured and exported as a fully welded, leak-tested assembly — critical for hazardous chemical processes where a fitting-based connection would be an unacceptable failure point
Applications
- Direct flange mounting on reactors, mixing vessels, and storage tanks
- Chemical processing — corrosive acids, alkalis, and solvent pressure measurement
- Slurry, sludge, and viscous media pressure indication in process vessels
- Wastewater and effluent treatment tank pressure monitoring
- Pulp, paper, and fibrous slurry processing
- Crystallizing and high-solids-content media (paints, resins, adhesives)
- Pharmaceutical bioreactor and fermenter pressure indication
- Food processing tanks with viscous or particulate-laden contents
- Petrochemical and refinery vessel pressure monitoring
- Offshore and marine tank pressure measurement systems

FAQs
1. What is a Flange Type Pressure Gauge?
A Flange Type Pressure Gauge is a diaphragm-sealed pressure measuring instrument that connects directly to the process through a flanged process connection. It is specifically designed for measuring pressure in pipelines, storage tanks, reactors, pressure vessels, and industrial process systems handling difficult or aggressive process media.
2. Why does this Gauge use a Diaphragm Seal?
The diaphragm seal isolates the pressure-sensing mechanism from the process fluid, protecting the gauge against corrosive chemicals, viscous liquids, slurry, crystallizing media, sticky fluids, and particle-laden process media. This improves measurement reliability, accuracy, and service life while reducing maintenance requirements.
3. What pressure range does this model measure?
This model measures pressures from 0 to 10.6 kg/cm², making it suitable for a wide range of chemical processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, food and beverage production, water treatment, petrochemical plants, and general industrial pressure measurement applications.
4. What type of Flange Connection does this Gauge use?
The gauge is equipped with a 2-inch 150# Raised Face (RF) flange, a widely used industrial flange standard that provides a secure, leak-resistant connection for process pipelines, reactors, pressure vessels, storage tanks, and industrial process equipment.
