Description
Industrial MI Thermocouple is a premium duplex mineral insulated (MI) K-Type temperature sensor engineered for the most demanding industrial environments. Combining Inconel 600 sheath protection, high-purity compacted magnesium oxide (MgO) insulation, duplex sensing elements, and a 3500 mm insertion length, this model represents the highest-performance standard thermocouple in the Aavad product portfolio.
Designed for continuous operation from 0°C to 1000°C, the AKFD-I6D is suitable for applications where long insertion lengths, high operating temperatures, hazardous-area compliance, and uninterrupted temperature monitoring are equally important. The Inconel 600 sheath provides excellent resistance to oxidation, scaling, and thermal fatigue, while the mineral insulated construction protects the sensing elements against vibration, mechanical shock, moisture, and electrical interference.
The duplex K-Type configuration incorporates two independent sensing elements inside a single 6 mm Inconel 600 sheath. This allows operators to continue temperature monitoring using the secondary element if the primary junction reaches the end of its service life, reducing process interruptions and supporting planned maintenance in critical industrial facilities.
With a 3500 mm insertion length, this is the longest standard thermocouple manufactured by Aavad Instrument, making it ideal for deep furnaces, reactors, boilers, kilns, and large industrial vessels where conventional sensors cannot reach the required measurement point.
The thermocouple is fitted with a rugged flameproof die-cast aluminium terminal head with IP67 protection, making it suitable for hazardous industrial environments exposed to explosive gases, dust, vibration, moisture, and harsh operating conditions.
Manufactured by Aavad Instrument Pvt. Ltd., the Industrial MI Thermocouple is available with customized process connections, insertion lengths, sheath diameters, thermocouple types, and optional calibration services to meet specialized industrial requirements.
