Description
Flexible Thermocouple is a heavy-duty duplex mineral insulated (MI) K-Type temperature sensor designed for industrial applications requiring both flexible installation and continuous high-temperature measurement. Manufactured with high-purity compacted magnesium oxide (MgO) insulation inside a durable SS310 stainless steel sheath, this thermocouple combines excellent thermal conductivity, mechanical protection, and routing flexibility for demanding process environments.
Unlike rigid temperature sensors, the Flexible Thermocouple can be carefully bent and routed around obstacles, through confined spaces, and into complex equipment layouts without compromising measurement reliability. This makes it particularly suitable for installations where straight thermocouples cannot easily reach the measurement point.
The duplex K-Type sensing element provides two independent temperature measurement circuits within a single sheath, allowing redundancy for critical industrial processes. If one sensing element reaches the end of its service life, the second element can continue monitoring while maintenance is scheduled, reducing unplanned downtime.
The SS310 protection sheath offers superior resistance to oxidation and scaling during prolonged exposure to elevated temperatures, allowing continuous operation from 0°C to 850°C. Compared to standard SS316 duplex thermocouples, this model is better suited for sustained high-temperature furnace service.
For hazardous industrial environments, the sensor features a robust flameproof die-cast aluminium terminal head with IP67 protection, ensuring reliable operation under harsh operating conditions. The 2900 mm insertion length, 8 mm sheath diameter, and double cable entry make it ideal for deep industrial equipment and complex routing applications.
