    Description

    The Aavad Pencil Type RTD Sensor is a compact resistance temperature detector (RTD) designed for applications where installation space is limited and accurate temperature measurement is essential. Its slim, uniform probe profile allows the sensor to fit into narrow thermowells, small-diameter bores, compact machinery, and restricted process connections where conventional RTD assemblies may not fit.

    Model APES-6×300 is manufactured with a 6 mm SS316 stainless steel sheath, a spring-loaded construction, and is available with PT100 or PT1000 sensing elements in 2-wire, 3-wire, or 4-wire configurations. The sensor provides Class A accuracy in accordance with IEC 60751 and operates over a temperature range of -50°C to 400°C, making it suitable for precise industrial temperature monitoring across a wide variety of process applications.

    The spring-loaded probe helps maintain consistent contact with the measurement surface or thermowell base, improving response stability and measurement repeatability in applications subject to vibration or thermal expansion. The slim “pencil” profile minimizes installation constraints while providing reliable mechanical strength for everyday industrial use.

    This model is supplied with a 3-meter white PTFE (Teflon) insulated cable, offering excellent resistance to heat, moisture, oils, and many industrial chemicals. While cable color and length assist with product identification and installation requirements, the primary engineering advantage of this sensor is its compact probe design, which enables temperature measurement in locations that are difficult to access with standard RTD assemblies.
