Description
Spring-Loaded Rotating Bayonet Thermocouple (Model AKES-6×65) is a K Type temperature sensor designed for plastic injection molding, extrusion, and other industrial heating applications where flexible cable routing and shallow insertion depth are required. Its rotating bayonet assembly allows the cable to be positioned in the desired direction after installation, reducing cable strain and simplifying routing around heaters, guards, and machine components.
The spring-loaded bayonet mechanism maintains continuous contact between the sensing tip and the measurement point, helping provide stable temperature readings even in environments subject to vibration or thermal expansion. Compared with longer rotating bayonet models, this sensor features a 65 mm insertion length, making it suitable for nozzle zones, hot runner systems, and other applications with shallower mounting holes.
The thermocouple uses a simplex K Type sensing element with an operating range of 0°C to 400°C. Its 6 mm OD SS316 stainless steel sheath provides durability and corrosion resistance, while the FG/FG/SS (fiberglass insulated with stainless steel braided) cable offers protection against heat, abrasion, and mechanical wear in demanding industrial environments.

FAQs
1. What is a Spring-Loaded Rotating Bayonet Thermocouple?
A Spring-Loaded Rotating Bayonet Thermocouple is an industrial temperature sensor featuring a rotating bayonet housing and a spring-loaded sensing tip. The rotating bayonet allows the cable to be positioned after installation, while the spring maintains continuous pressure between the sensing tip and the measurement surface for accurate and reliable temperature measurement.
2. What is the advantage of a Rotating Bayonet Design?
A rotating bayonet design allows installers to align the cable with the machine layout after the sensor is locked into position. This reduces cable twisting, minimizes mechanical stress, improves cable routing, and extends cable life without affecting the secure bayonet locking mechanism.
3. Why is the Spring-Loaded Mechanism important?
The spring-loaded mechanism applies constant pressure to the sensing tip, ensuring excellent thermal contact even when equipment is subjected to vibration, thermal expansion, or mechanical movement. This improves measurement accuracy, response time, and long-term reliability.
4. What temperature range does a Spring-Loaded Rotating Bayonet Thermocouple support?
The operating temperature range depends on the thermocouple type. A K-Type Spring-Loaded Rotating Bayonet Thermocouple typically measures temperatures from 0°C to +600°C, making it suitable for plastic processing, packaging machinery, industrial heaters, and other medium-temperature industrial applications.
5. Where are Spring-Loaded Rotating Bayonet Thermocouples commonly used?
These thermocouples are widely used in plastic injection molding machines, extrusion equipment, packaging machinery, rubber processing, food processing equipment, textile machinery, OEM machines, industrial heaters, and automation systems where fast response and secure temperature sensing are required.
