    Description

    The Aavad Instrument Telemetry System is a compact DIN rail-mounted Industrial IoT Gateway designed to retrofit remote monitoring capabilities onto existing RS485 Modbus-enabled flow meters, including both Aavad and compatible third-party instruments. Acting as the communication bridge between field devices and cloud software, the gateway collects measurement data, transmits it using GSM connectivity and the MQTT protocol, and makes operational information available through a centralized web dashboard.

    Modern industrial facilities increasingly require continuous visibility into water consumption, process performance, and utility operations across multiple locations. Replacing existing instrumentation solely to add remote monitoring capabilities can be expensive and disruptive. An Industrial Telemetry System provides a practical alternative by connecting compatible field instruments to a secure cloud platform without replacing the installed flow meter.

    The system supports configurable transmission intervals ranging from 15 minutes to one day, allowing users to balance reporting frequency with communication requirements. Cloud storage maintains historical records for analysis and reporting, while configurable SMS and email notifications help operators respond quickly to abnormal operating conditions.

    Four onboard status LEDs provide instant indication of power, network, cloud connection, and communication status, simplifying field diagnostics without requiring access to the software platform. Support for over-the-air (OTA) firmware updates enables feature enhancements and maintenance without visiting the installation site.

    Designed for seamless integration into industrial automation environments, the gateway communicates with field instruments through RS485 (Modbus RTU) and can be incorporated into SCADA, PLC, utility monitoring, and digital water management systems. Whether upgrading an existing installation or expanding a multi-site monitoring network, the Aavad Telemetry System provides a scalable foundation for remote data acquisition and Industrial IoT applications.
