Description
RTD Sensor with Bar-Stock Thermowell (Model APFD) is a heavy-duty duplex PT100 temperature sensor assembly designed for accurate and reliable temperature measurement in high-pressure, high-flow, and demanding industrial process applications. Featuring Duplex PT100 Class A sensing elements (3+3 wire), a precision-machined solid bar-stock SS316L thermowell, a rugged IP67 flameproof die-cast aluminium terminal head with double cable entry, and a 1/2-inch NPT Nipple-Union-Nipple (N-U-N) process connection, this industrial RTD assembly delivers dependable temperature measurement across an operating range of -50°C to +400°C. Unlike fabricated thermowells manufactured from welded pipe, the bar-stock thermowell is machined from a single solid piece of stainless steel, providing superior mechanical strength, pressure resistance, and durability for severe industrial service.
The tapered thermowell profile (28 mm to 24 mm) is engineered to withstand demanding operating conditions while maintaining good heat transfer to the duplex PT100 sensing elements. The N-U-N process connection allows maintenance personnel to disconnect and remove the sensor assembly without disturbing the main process connection, reducing maintenance time and downtime.
