Description
Miniature Head RTD Sensor (Model APMS) is a compact industrial temperature sensor designed for applications requiring accurate temperature measurement, flexible installation, and a reduced terminal head footprint. Available with either a PT100 or PT1000 sensing element, this sensor features a Class A RTD, a durable 6 mm SS316 stainless steel probe, a miniature aluminium terminal head, and an adjustable 1/2-inch BSP process connection that allows installers to set the immersion depth during installation. Operating across a temperature range of -50°C to +400°C, the APMS combines the space-saving benefits of a miniature head with the versatility needed for process plants, machinery, and industrial equipment.
Unlike compact miniature-head RTDs with fixed insertion lengths, the APMS is engineered for applications where the final immersion depth is determined on-site. The adjustable process connection simplifies installation across different pipe sizes, vessels, and equipment configurations while reducing the need for custom probe lengths. With the flexibility to choose PT100 or PT1000 sensing technology and support for 2-wire, 3-wire, or 4-wire configurations, this sensor integrates easily with compatible temperature transmitters, PLCs, DCS, SCADA systems, controllers, and industrial automation platforms.
