Description
Mineral Insulated RTD Sensor (Model APWD) is a high-accuracy duplex PT100 temperature sensor designed for reliable industrial process temperature measurement in non-hazardous and non-classified areas. Featuring two independent 3-wire PT100 sensing elements (3+3 wire) with Class A accuracy, compacted MgO mineral insulation, a durable SS316 stainless steel sheath, and an adjustable 1/2″ BSP process connection, this industrial RTD sensor delivers stable and repeatable temperature measurement across a wide operating range of -50°C to +400°C. The duplex configuration provides two independent temperature signals from a single measurement point, making it ideal for applications requiring simultaneous process control and monitoring, indication, data logging, alarm, or redundant temperature measurement.
Designed as a versatile general-purpose mineral insulated RTD sensor, the Model APWD features a 300 mm standard probe length and an adjustable process connection that allows the insertion depth to be configured during installation for compatible tanks, vessels, pipelines, machinery, and process equipment. The standard IP65 die-cast aluminium terminal head provides reliable protection for field terminations in non-classified industrial environments without the additional cost of a flameproof enclosure. Manufactured by Aavad Instrument, this duplex PT100 RTD sensor is suitable for industrial process control, laboratory measurement, HVAC systems, automation equipment, utilities, manufacturing plants, and applications requiring two independent temperature signals from one robust mineral-insulated sensor assembly.
