Description
Flameproof RTD Sensor Standard (Model APFS-S-1) is a high-performance PT100 flameproof temperature sensor designed for direct installation in industrial process equipment operating in appropriately classified hazardous areas. Featuring a Simplex PT100 Class A sensing element, durable SS316 stainless steel probe, rugged IP67 flameproof die-cast aluminium terminal head, and a fixed 1/2″ BSP(M) process connection, this industrial RTD sensor provides accurate and repeatable temperature measurement across an operating range of -50°C to +400°C. Unlike bare-probe RTD assemblies, the APFS-S-1 is supplied as a complete direct-mount temperature sensor that can be installed into compatible threaded process connections without requiring a separate thermowell, making installation faster and more straightforward where direct immersion is appropriate.
Designed for reliable performance in demanding industrial environments, the fixed threaded process connection ensures consistent installation depth while the mineral-insulated PT100 sensing element provides stable temperature measurement under vibration and repeated thermal cycling. Available with 2-wire, 3-wire, or 4-wire PT100 configurations, the sensor can be integrated with compatible temperature transmitters, PLCs, DCS, SCADA systems, controllers, and indicators.
