Description
Flameproof RTD Sensor Standard Assembly (Model APFS-6×2800) is a long-reach PT100 flameproof temperature sensor engineered for accurate temperature measurement at deep and difficult-to-access points in appropriately classified hazardous industrial areas. Featuring an extended 2800 mm sensing assembly, Simplex 3-wire PT100 Class A element, 6 mm OD SS316 stainless steel sheath, and a rugged IP67 flameproof die-cast aluminium terminal head, this industrial RTD sensor delivers reliable temperature measurement across an operating range of -50°C to +400°C. Its extended-length construction makes it ideal for tall furnaces, kiln chambers, deep reactors, vertical process vessels, columns, towers, and other hazardous-area applications where conventional RTD probe lengths cannot reach the required measurement point.
Designed for demanding hazardous-area process temperature measurement, the Model APFS-6×2800 combines mineral-insulated construction with an adjustable 1/2″ BSP(M) compression fitting, allowing the insertion depth to be configured during installation according to compatible equipment and process geometry. According to the specified configuration, the flameproof enclosure is available for gas groups I, IIA, and IIB, subject to applicable product certification and site classification requirements. Manufactured by Aavad Instrument, this long-length flameproof RTD sensor provides a dependable temperature monitoring solution for oil and gas processing, chemical and petrochemical plants, furnaces, kilns, cement plants, steel facilities, reactors, and heavy process industries requiring extended-reach PT100 temperature sensing in classified locations.
