Description
Weatherproof K-Type Thermocouple is a high-performance industrial temperature sensor designed for continuous high-temperature measurement in non-hazardous environments. Featuring a Duplex K-Type (Chromel-Alumel) sensing element, an Inconel 600 protection sheath, and a weatherproof IP65 aluminium terminal head, this thermocouple delivers exceptional durability, oxidation resistance, and reliable temperature monitoring up to 1000°C.
Unlike conventional stainless steel thermocouples, the Inconel 600 sheath provides outstanding resistance to oxidation, scaling, carburization, and high-temperature corrosion. This makes it an ideal choice for prolonged exposure to elevated temperatures in furnaces, kilns, boilers, heat treatment equipment, combustion systems, and industrial process plants where extended sensor life is essential.
The thermocouple utilizes a Duplex construction, incorporating two independent K-Type sensing elements within a single probe. This enables simultaneous monitoring and control, redundant temperature measurement for enhanced process reliability, or backup sensing without requiring additional process penetrations.
Designed with an adjustable 1/2″ BSP process connection, 6 mm Inconel 600 sheath, 1050 mm insertion length, and an IP65 weatherproof die-cast aluminium terminal head, the AKWD-I6D is built to withstand demanding industrial environments while protecting electrical connections from dust and moisture.
