Description
Stainless Steel Thermocouple is a simplex K-Type temperature sensor designed for reliable and economical temperature measurement in general industrial applications. Built with a durable SS310 stainless steel sheath, it provides dependable performance up to 850°C, making it an excellent choice for processes that require high-temperature capability without the higher material cost associated with nickel-based alloys.
One of the most common engineering decisions when specifying a thermocouple is selecting the appropriate sheath material. SS310 stainless steel offers excellent resistance to oxidation and heat for many industrial applications while remaining a cost-effective alternative to Inconel 600. For equipment operating intermittently or below maximum temperature for most of its service life, SS310 often provides the right balance of durability, performance, and replacement cost.
The AKWS-10 features a 6 mm SS310 sheath, 1050 mm insertion length, and a simplex K-Type sensing element capable of measuring temperatures from 0°C to 850°C. Its rugged construction delivers accurate and repeatable temperature measurement in furnaces, ovens, heating systems, process equipment, and industrial machinery.
The sensor is fitted with a standard die-cast aluminium terminal head with IP65 protection, providing reliable shielding against dust and water ingress in non-hazardous industrial environments. The single cable entry simplifies installation while maintaining dependable electrical connections.
