    Description

    Organizations extracting groundwater are increasingly required to maintain accurate records of water usage and, where applicable, transmit flow information through approved telemetry systems. A Digital Water Flow Meter designed for CGWA compliance combines precise electromagnetic flow measurement with secure digital communication, enabling continuous monitoring, automated reporting, and improved water resource management.

    The Aavad Instrument Model AMAG-I integrates an electromagnetic flow meter with a complete telemetry ecosystem, allowing flow data to move securely from the meter to a cloud-based monitoring platform. The workflow includes RS485 communication, an IoT gateway, encrypted data transmission, cloud storage, historical logging, and configurable SMS and email notifications. This architecture supports reliable data collection while reducing dependence on manual meter readings and minimizing the possibility of data manipulation.

    The measuring system itself uses Faraday’s Law of Electromagnetic Induction to provide highly accurate flow measurement for conductive liquids. With ±0.5% of reading accuracy, an IP68-rated transmitter enclosure, PTFE liner, and SS316L electrodes, the meter delivers stable long-term performance in groundwater extraction systems, industrial water networks, STPs, ETPs, and municipal infrastructure.

    In addition to regulatory reporting, the digital monitoring platform provides continuous visibility into water consumption trends, helping plant operators identify abnormal usage patterns, optimize pumping schedules, support water audits, and improve operational efficiency.
