Description
Boiler Thermocouple is a heavy-duty duplex K-Type temperature sensor designed for accurate temperature monitoring and reliable operation in industrial boilers, furnaces, and other high-temperature process equipment. Manufactured with a durable SS310 stainless steel sheath, this thermocouple is engineered to withstand prolonged exposure to elevated temperatures while delivering dependable performance in demanding industrial environments.
Boiler thermocouples play an important role in both process control and equipment safety. In industrial heating systems, they provide accurate temperature feedback for combustion control, burner management, and thermal efficiency. In many gas-fired systems, thermocouples are also used as part of flame supervision or safety interlock arrangements, helping ensure safe system operation when integrated with appropriate control equipment.
The AKFD-10D features a duplex K-Type sensing configuration, housing two independent sensing elements within a single 6 mm SS310 sheath. If one sensing element reaches the end of its service life, operators can switch to the second junction, allowing temperature monitoring to continue while replacement is planned. This redundancy helps minimize unexpected downtime in continuously operating boiler systems.
With a temperature range of 0°C to 850°C, 2600 mm insertion length, and a flameproof die-cast aluminium terminal head rated IP67, the sensor is suitable for hazardous industrial environments such as boiler rooms, power plants, refineries, petrochemical facilities, and process heating systems. The double cable entry supports independent wiring for both sensing elements, simplifying integration into industrial automation and safety systems.
Manufactured by Aavad Instrument Pvt. Ltd., the Boiler Thermocouple is available with customized insertion lengths, sheath diameters, thermocouple types, process connections, and optional NABL-traceable calibration for applications requiring documented measurement confidence.
