The Model AKFS-6×250 represents our standard head-type K-Type thermocouple. Its heavy-duty die-cast aluminum construction and precision-machined flame paths prevent flames or hot gases from escaping and igniting the surrounding hazardous atmosphere. This makes flameproof thermocouples suitable for use in oil & gas facilities, petrochemical plants, refineries, chemical processing units, and other hazardous industrial environments where explosive gases or vapors may be present.
4. What is the function of the Double Cable Entry port on the terminal enclosure?
The Double Cable Entry design allows separate input and loop-through signal cables to be connected within the same terminal head, reducing the need for external junction boxes during field installation. Compression cable glands provide a secure, dust-tight, moisture-resistant, and gas-tight seal around the cables, helping maintain the enclosure’s IP67 protection rating while simplifying wiring and maintenance.
